A SELF PORTRAIT IN ELECTRIC LIGHT
Some find a hidden magic in the silence of a city at night: the poetry of streetlamps piercing through the fog, or their golden light cutting through the dark. Yet, within these landscapes, we seek something different: a silent sound, a vibration hidden within the folds of the electromagnetic panorama, invisible to the naked ear.
Since 2018, following the path set by visionaries such as Christina Kubisch and David Tudor, we have explored the world equipped with special microphones to chase the secret voice of the electric current.
What you are about to hear is our self-portrait illuminated by electric light. Through sound, we will tell the story of an electron’s frantic race and what truly inhabits the silence. We will lead you into the electromagnetic roar of factories; we will take you inside the oldest power plants and among the people who observe our journey, seeking to answer an eternal question: if silence does not exist, what else can sound be?
